Laser device caution (for models with a barcode reader)
CAUTION!
THIS PRODUCT UTILIZES A LASER.
USE OF CONTROLS, ADJUSTMENTS OR PERFORMANCE OF
PROCEDURES OTHER THAN THOSE SPECIFIED HEREIN MAY
RESULT IN HAZARDOUS RADIATION EXPOSURE.
DO NOT OPEN COVERS AND DO NOT REPAIR YOURSELF.
REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
This product is using lasers that comply with IEC 60825-1:2014 and
FDA performance standards for laser products except for
conformance with IEC 60825-1 Ed. 3., as described in Laser Notice
No. 56, dated May 8, 2019.
This product utilizes a “Class 2” laser.
Class 2 laser readers use a low power, visible diode. As with any
very bright light source, such as the sun, the user should avoid
staring directly into the light beam. Momentary exposure to a Class 2
laser is not known to be harmful.
Caution: Procedures other than those specified herein may result in
hazardous radiation exposure.
