4 Select the sensor that you want to use to trigger the smart control scenario.
R Depending on the device that is being controlled by the scenario, you can use your mobile
device’s Wi-Fi connection to your wireless router as a trigger by selecting [Trigger when Home
Wi-Fi Connects]. For more information, see “Using [Trigger when Home Wi-Fi Connects] to
trigger smart control scenarios”, Page 60.
5 When controlling a camera
Under [Timer], set each item.
[Recording Duration]: Determines the length of the recording. The maximum setting is
15 minutes.
When controlling a smart plug
Under [Timer], set each item.
[Power ON Duration]: Determines how long the smart plug will be turned on. The maximum
setting is 24 hours.
6 Under [Trigger Period], set each item.
[All Day]: Sets the scenario to control the device for the entire day.
[Start Time]: Determines the start time of the period when the scenario can control the device.
[End Time]: Determines the end time of the period when the scenario can control the device.
7 Under [Repeat], set each item.
[Days]: Determines the days on which the scenario can control the device.
8 Under [Arm Mode], select the arm modes in which the scenario can control the device.
9 When finished, tap [OK].
Note:
R If the conditions of this scenario (day, time, and arm mode) overlap with another scenario that is
configured to control the same device, an error is displayed. The nature of the error is also displayed
on the scenario’s configuration screen.
R When a sensor is triggered, the scenario is executed immediately, even if the sensor’s operation mode
is set to [Enable (Entry Delay)] ( “Enabling and disabling individual sensors”, Page 53).
R When using a smart control scenario to record camera images, there may be a short delay after the
sensor is triggered before recording starts.
Creating a scenario that controls a thermostat
1 From the [Home Network] app home screen, tap [Smart Control].
R If there are existing scenarios, a list of the devices being controlled by the scenarios is displayed.
Tap
to create a new scenario.
2 Tap [Control Thermostat].
3 Select the thermostat that you want to control.
4 Select the arm mode that you want to use to trigger the smart control scenario.
R The scenario will be executed when the system switches to the selected arm mode.
5 Under [Set to], select the thermostat operation mode that will be selected when the scenario is
executed.
R To edit a mode, tap next to the desired mode, set each item, and then tap [OK].
R You can configure and save three operation modes for each arm mode.
6 When finished, tap [OK].
Note:
R For information about thermostat settings, refer to the operating instructions included with your
thermostat.
R Some modes and features supported by your thermostat may not be supported by this system.
