Auto reduction #432 To receive a fax document that is longer than your recording paper.
When this feature is activated, the unit will fit received documents onto
your recording paper.

Fax activation
code
#434 If you wish to use an extension telephone to receive faxes, activate
this feature and program the activation code. When entering the code,
use the dial keypad.
R The default code is H#9.
Important:
R The fax activation code must be different from the code that
you programmed on the answering machine.

disconnection
#435 To answer a call with an extension telephone in TEL/FAX mode,
activate this feature and program the code.
R The default code is H0.
Silent fax ring

#436 To change the number of times the unit rings while in TEL/FAX mode.

Memory reception
alert
#437 To alert you with a beeping sound when a received fax document is
stored into memory.
Note:
R If documents are stored into memory due to some printing
problem, the beeps will continue until you solve the problem. If a
message is displayed, see page 102 to page 105 for directions
on printing out the stored documents. Make sure the unit is
supplied with enough paper to print the stored document.
R If documents are stored into memory due to activating the web fax
preview (feature #448), the unit will not beep. However, the unit
will start to beep when the memory is nearly full (LAN supported
models only). (y)

Friendly reception #438 To receive a fax automatically when you answer a call and hear a fax
calling tone (slow beep). When this feature is activated, you do not
have to press Mx/STARTN, and then M2N for fax reception.

PC fax setting #442 If you wish to receive a fax to a computer, activate this feature and
run [PC FAX] from Multi-Function Station.
This feature is available only when the fax preview mode is turned
OFF (feature #448) (LAN supported models only). (y)
OFF: Deactivates this feature.
ALWAYS: If the unit recognizes the connection to the computer,
it will transfer received documents to the computer. If the unit
cannot recognize the connection, it will store received documents
into memory, and then transfer the data after recognition of the
computer connection.
CONNECTED: If the unit recognizes the connection to the
computer, it will transfer received documents to the computer. If
the unit cannot recognize the connection, it will print the data.
PC fax reception
#443 To select the computer that will be used for receiving a fax. See
page 83 for details.
Fax preview mode #448 To set the fax preview mode. See page 83 for details. M0N
Web fax preview
access code
#450 To set the web fax preview access code. After entering the
programming password (feature #155), enter the access code (up to
8 characters, using the English alphabet and numbers).
