Making/Answering Calls Temporary handset ringer off Flash While the handset is ringing for a call, you can turn the ringer off temporarily by pressing MOFFN. Adjusting the base unit ringer volume MFLASHN allows you to use the special features of your host PBX such as transferring an extension call, or accessing optional telephone services. Note: R To change the flash time, see page 20. Press MjN or MkN repeatedly to select the desired volume.

Shared Phonebook Shared phonebook The shared phonebook allows you to make calls without having to dial manually. Any handset registered to the base unit can use the shared phonebook. Caller ID features Viewing the caller list and calling back When an outside call is being received, the caller information is displayed.
Caller ID Service 5 M N Caller ID number auto edit feature Once you call back an edited number, the handset which was used to call back remembers the area code and format of the edited number. The next time someone calls from the same area code, caller information is customized by the handset as follows: – When the call is being received, the Caller ID number is displayed in the same format as the edited number.
Answering System Answering system The answering system can answer and record calls for you when you are unavailable to answer the phone. Important: R Only 1 person can access the answering system (listen to messages, record a greeting message, etc.) at a time. R When callers leave messages, the unit records the day and time of each message. Make sure the date and time have been set correctly (page 12). Memory capacity (including your greeting message) The total recording capacity is about 18 minutes.

Messages are recorded by your service provider/ telephone company, not your telephone. Please contact your service provider/ telephone company for details of this service.
Intercom/Locator Intercom Intercom calls can be made between handsets. Note: R When paging the handset, the paged handset beeps for 1 minute. R If you receive an outside call while talking on the intercom, you hear 2 tones. To answer the call with the handset, press N.
