Sending a message
Writing and sending a new message

L You can use the same text you created last
time if you were interrupted (by an incoming
call or pressing {i}) and could not
send/save the message.
3 Enter the message (page 30). i {OK}
L While entering messages, the remaining
number of characters that can be entered is
displayed on the bottom of the handset
display.
4 Enter the destination phone number (20 digits
max.). i {OK}
Using the redial list:
{MENU} i {^}/{V}: Redial i {OK}
i {^}/{V}: Select the phone number. i
{OK} 2 times
Using the caller list:
{MENU} i {^}/{V}: Caller List i
{OK} i {^}/{V}: Select the party. i
{OK} 2 times
Using the handset phonebook:
{MENU} i {^}/{V}: Phonebook i
{OK} i {^}/{V}: Select the handset
phonebook entry. i {OK} 2 times
5 {^}/{V}: Send i {OK}
L To save the message, select Save.
L To cancel sending, press {i}.
Note:
L This unit supports SMS messages of up to 160
characters, however, the maximum number of
characters you can send or receive may be
limited by your SMS service provider/telephone
company. Consult your SMS service
provider/telephone company for details.
L Successfully sent messages are not stored.
L Saved/failed messages are stored in
Outgoing.
L If SMS message memory becomes full, you
cannot send/save any messages.

Receiving a message
L When an SMS message is received:
a tone is heard (if the SMS alert is turned on)
New SMS is displayed
h is displayed
L If you receive messages which contain over 160
characters, they are divided into multiple
messages, each containing a maximum of 153
characters.
Reading a received message
