Operating Instructions
This unit can receive programmes transmitted together with NICAM sound. NICAM is a
digital sound system featuring two audio channels that can be set to either two-channel
stereo sound or two separate mono channels (M1 and M2).
OFF: Records stereo sound.
ON : Used during NICAM programmes to record normal (mono) sound on the Hi-Fi
audio tracks or if the stereo sound is bad.

To record on a cassette containing previous recordings without loss of quality, erase
these recordings with the QUICK ERASE function.

The erase process takes approx. 30 minutes for an E-180 cassette.
