Listening operations
C Using an external unit
Listening to an external source
(See page 7 for external unit connection.)
Press [AUX].
Start playback from the external source. (Refer to your
equipment’s operating instructions.)
Recording from an external source
Insert the tape to be recorded on.
Press [AUX].
Press [[/ J REC] (recording starts).
Start playback from the external source. (Refer to your
equipment’s operating instructions.)
Listening with headphones
Reduce the volume level, and connect the headphones.
Plug type: 3.5 mm (1/8˝) stereo.
Note
Avoid listening for prolonged periods of time to prevent
hearing damage.

Using the built-in sound
quality settings
By remote control only
You can choose one of three types of sound quality.
HEAVY: Adds punch to rock
CLEAR: Clarifies higher sounds
SOFT: For background music
Press [PRESET EQ] to select a setting.
Each time you press the button:
HEAVY CLEAR SOFT
EQ-OFF (cancelled)
Note
Preset EQ cannot be used together with Super Sound
EQ.
Changes to sound quality do not affect recordings.
