Glossary Decoder WMA, MP3, CD text and JPEG information A decoder restores the coded audio signals on DVDs to normal. This is called decoding. ¡ Discs must conform to ISO9660 level 1 or 2 (except for extended formats). ¡ This unit is compatible with multi-session but if there are a lot of sessions it takes more time for play to start. Keep the number of sessions to a minimum to avoid this. ¡ The order tracks appear in the menus may differ to the order shown on your computer.

After a few seconds, the display will change to a flashing display of the current minimum frequency. If you continue to hold the button down, the minimum AM frequency will change. Release the button at this time.

Troubleshooting guide Before requesting service, make the below checks. If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the problem, consult your dealer for instructions. Power Page No power. The unit is automatically switched to the standby mode. • Insert the AC power supply cord securely. • The unit was switched to standby by the sleep timer. 34 • Some operations may be prohibited by the disc.
Sound • Check the connections. • Turn the volume up. • Turn muting off. • Switch off the unit, determine and correct the cause, then switch the unit on. No sound. Distorted sound. 7 — 35 — Causes include: – Shorting (bare wires touching) of positive and negative speaker wires. – Using speakers with an impedance lower than that rated for this unit. – Straining of the speakers through excessive volume or power. – Using the unit in a hot environment without proper ventilation.
