Although the unit is on standby
mode, the display lights up and
changes continuously.
The display is dark.

MM stands for a number.
• Turn off the demo function. 9
• If you set the clock, demo function will be turned off automatically. 9
• Press [SHIFT]+[DIMMER] to brighten the display. 29
• You inserted a disc the unit cannot play; insert one that can. 4
• You inserted a blank disc. —
• You haven’t inserted a disc; insert one. —
• You haven’t inserted the disc correctly; insert it correctly. 35
• Check and correct the speaker cord connections. 6, 7
If this does not fix the problem, there is a power supply problem. Consult the dealer.
• Disc is dirty. Wipe it clean. 4
• Incorrect operation performed. Read the instructions and try again. —
• Trouble may have occurred. The number following “H” depends on the status of the unit. —
Turn the unit off and back to ON. Alternatively, turn the unit off, disconnect the AC power
supply cord, and then reconnect it.
• If the service numbers fail to clear, note the service number and contact a qualified service person. —
• You can only play DVD-Video if their region number is the same or includes the same region number —
as the unit or if the DVD-Video is marked “ALL”. Confirm the region number for the unit on the back of
the main unit.
• Select “On” in “On-Scr een Messages” in “Display” tab. 21
• The operation is prohibited by the unit or disc. —
• You are trying to play incompatible group or content. —
• You are trying to play protected group or content. You cannot play it. —
• Audio has not been recorded, or recorded in a format this unit cannot playback. Video playback 17
only is possible.
• This disc may be dirty. 4
• You are trying to play the DivX VOD content that was purchased with a different registration code. 31
You cannot play the content on this unit.
• The DivX VOD content has zero remaining plays. You cannot play it. 31

Memory reset (Initialization)
When the following situations occur, refer to the instructions below to reset the memory:
• There is no response when buttons are pressed.
• You want to clear and reset the memory contents.
To reset memory
1 Disconnect the AC power supply cord. (Wait at least 3 minutes before proceeding to step 2.)
2 While pressing and holding down [

y/I] on the main unit, reconnect the AC power supply cord.

3 Release [

All the settings are returned to the factory preset.
You will need to reset the memory items.
