This is normal and does not
represent a malfunction.
The TV will switch to standby
after 30 minutes if no signal is
received.
Timer switches to standby
mode by itself
To force the screen into the desired
aspect mode, begin playback of the
source media first and use the TV
“Aspect” button to select the desired
mode.
The selected aspect can be
overridden when connected
with an HDMI connection
The manually selected aspect
ratio is not retained when
playing and medial on an
external device.
Connect the TV to a working wall
socket and switch it on.
Remove the fuse from the plug and
replace it with one of an identical
rating.
The TV is not connected to a
wall socket or the wall socket
is not switched on.
The fuse in the plug may have
blown.
The TV does not switch on
Connect the aerial and re-start Auto
Setup
The aerial may not be
connected
No stations were found during
Auto Setup
Press the
i button twice rapidly to
clear the number. The channel
number will still appear for a short
while when a channel is changed.
Older TVs have a Status button.
Instead of the
i button
Status Button -
The channel number appears
on the top left corner of the
screen. This is a selectable
option
The analogue channel number
appears and remains on the
TV screen
Press the Power button on the
remote controller to switch on.
Select a TV station or select the
correct AV input for the external
device
Check the picture settings and
adjust them.
The TV may be in standby
mode.
TV may be set to AV mode
with no signal to the selected
input.
Brightness and contrast may
be set to minimum
No Image visible on the
screen
Check that the output of the external
unit matches the input of the TV. If
the external device is set to output
S-Video the input on the TV must
also be set to S-Video (AV1-S or
AV2-S)
The input on the TV may be
set incorrectly.
