Freesat TV Troubleshooting
Connect the recorder to the TV
using a fully wired SCART
connector for recording from the
TV tuner.
It is not possible to record from
Component, HDMI or PC
On screen Message
“Feature not available”
Press enter and then key in the 4
digit pin code (set by the person
who locked the channel).
The channel selected has been
locked with a child lock. You
must enter the PIN codes
before the programme will be
displayed.
On screen Message
“Child lock is active
Press OK to enter PIN”
You can either cancel a less
important timer event or you can
wait until after one of the timer
events has taken place and then
add the new event.
A maximum of 15 timer
programming events is
available.
On screen Message
“Max number of timers
already set”
A maximum of 999 Other services
can be added to the list.
No more non- freesat services
can be added.
On screen Message
“Other Satellite Service list is
full”
Please check the RF connections.The TV cannot detect the signalOn screen Message
“No Signal”
Check the broadcaster’s
programme guide for transmission
times.
The broadcaster has stopped
transmitting
On screen Message
“No Service”
Check the aerial is plugged in
properly. It may be necessary to
have an aerial installer check the
signal and aerial alignment
The signal is weakOn screen Message
“Bad Signal”
The problem could be with either
the cable or the LNB on the dish.
Most customers will not be able to
check which is at fault other than
visually inspecting that the cable is
plugged it to the TV and has not
been cut or damaged. The
installer should be contacted to
check the dish and cable.
There could be a problem with
the satellite cable or the dish.
Physically check the cable to
ensure that it is plugged in
correctly and nor damaged in
any way
