HDMI Audio Format
(Auto / PCM / Pass Through / Dolby Audio)
Selects the audio format for the HDMI input signal.
Auto:
Dolby Audio is output as Dolby Audio Bitstream. Other digital audio
output signals are output as PCM. When the sound is delivered from
theatre speakers, Dolby Audio is output with pass-through method.
PCM:
Digital audio signal is output as PCM.
Pass Through:
When the TV speakers are active, Dolby Audio is output as Dolby Audio
Bitstream. Other digital audio output signals are output as PCM. When
the sound is delivered from theatre speakers, the input signal is output
as it is with pass-through method.
Dolby Audio:
When the TV speakers are active, Dolby Audio is output as Dolby Audio
Bitstream. Other digital audio output signals are output as PCM. When
the sound is delivered from theatre speakers, Dolby Audio is output
with transcoding method.
PCM Optical Level
Adjusts the audio level of PCM output from DIGITAL AUDIO and HDMI2
(eARC / ARC function) terminals to equalise with that of the other audio types.
eARC
(On / Off)
Set to On to enable the eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) function
when the equipment supporting eARC function is connected to this TV.
The ARC (Audio Return Channel) function is enabled only when the
connected equipment supports the ARC function.
Use HDMI2 to connect the TV to an amplifier which has eARC / ARC
function.
Use an HDMI cable supporting eARC function or HEC (HDMI Ethernet
Channel) function.
