Operation
The Voltage Detector is useful for the
identifying hot and neutral conductors,
finding a break in a wire, and detecting the
presenceofACvoltageat:

Switches
z Circuitbreakers
z Fuses
z Wiresandcables
Note:Thevoltagedetectorcanbeusedtofind
abreakinawire:
z Tofindabreakinahotconductor,trace
thewireuntilthesignalstops.
z Tofindabreakinaneutralconductor,
connect
aloadbetweenthehotand
neutral.Tracethewireuntilthesignal
stops.
1. Testtheunitonknownfunctioningcircuit
orcomponent.
z Iftheunitdoesnotfunctionas
expectedonaknownfunctioning
circuit,replacethebatteries.
z Iftheunitstilldoesnotfunctionas
expected,sendtheunittorepair.
2. Placetheprobetiponornearthecircuit
orunittobetested.

presenceofACVoltagefrom200~1000
VAC(50/60Hz).
Note:Thevoltagedetectorcannotdetect
voltageonarmoredcableoroncablein
conduit,behind
