ADOBE ACCOUNT
Q: Do I need an Adobe account to download Kobo eBooks?
A: Yes, Kobo requires you to provide your Adobe account information before
you can download eBooks from your Kobo online account.
Q: How do I register my Adobe account in my
pandigital novel?
A: The first time you attempt to download a purchased eBook through the
Purchase History feature, you are prompted for your Adobe login
information. If you haven’t yet registered an account, you can tap “Adobe
web” to do so immediately.
Q: How can I switch Adobe accounts in my device?
A: WARNING! All downloaded Kobo eBooks are associated with your
Adobe account. If you switch to a different Adobe account you are no
longer allowed to open the eBooks already in
My Library or re-
download those eBooks from your Kobo online account! Pandigital will
not be held liable in any way for loss of any data or loss of use of your Kobo
eBooks as a result of performing an Adobe account switch.
If you are sure you want to switch accounts, tap
Settings>Applications>Manage applications>Reader>Clear data.
BASIC FUNCTIONALITY
Q: Do I have to charge the battery before use?
A: You should charge the battery for at least 4 hours, but you can use the
device while it’s charging. Use the included power adapter to charge; this
device does not charge via the USB cable.
Q: My unit seems to be frozen and is un-responsive. What do I do?
A: Reset the device by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.
Q: I have attempted to perform a firmware update but it consistently fails.
A: If the device has a low battery charge, you may not be able to perform a
successful update. Connect the device to the power adapter and then try
again.
Q: Why do I see references to “phone” and “camera” in some of the setup
screens and various pop-up messages?
A: This is a result of the Android OS framework and should be ignored as it
does not affect the intended operation of your
pandigital novel.
Q: Why does text appear in some entry dialog boxes (i.e., email address,
password, etc.) that has to be erased before I enter my personal
information?
A: The pre-loaded text that appears in some entry dialog boxes does not need
to be manually erased before entering user information. Simply tap in the
