- The Setup Menu
- The setup menu is used to modify the default printer settings. The setup menu should be accessed from the home screen. To access the setup menu press the SETUP key.

Using the PanTher™ LS8EQ Hand-Held Thermal Transfer Printer to
Download Custom Graphic Files
1. With PanTherLink software, you can download and store up to 10 custom
graphic files on your LS8EQ printer.
2. PanTherLink software includes a library of 60 graphic files for you to choose
from. See page 49 for a complete list of symbols in this library.
3. You can also download your own graphic files. All downloadable files must
be must be saved as 150 X 150 pixels, monochrome bitmap (.bmp) files.
4. To use the downloadable symbols function on your LS8EQ printer, you must
first have firmware version 2.0.3 or higher installed. You can check your
current firmware version in the SETUP menu. If your version is prior to 2.0.3,
please upgrade your firmware, using the detailed instructions in the next
section.
5. Power LS8EQ printer on and connect the USB cable between the printer and
your computer.
6. Press the SETUP button. Select PC Interface. Select Symbol Transfer.
7. Open PanTherLink software on your computer.
8. Select Download a Symbol to the LS8EQ printer from the toolbar. The icon
shows “BMP” with an arrow pointing away from a computer.
9. Browse to locate your .BMP file on your computer. Highlight the file and click
Open.
10. Select the file storage location on the printer to send the .BMP file to.
11. Click OK.
12. The file transfer progress bar will appear.
13. Once the Symbol file transfer successful message appears on your computer,
click OK.
14. The file menu tree on the left side of the PanTherLink screen will update
automatically. All blank file locations on your printer are named Blank_.bmp.
