- The setup menu is used to modify the default printer settings. The setup menu should be accessed from the home screen. To access the setup menu press the SETUP key.

Upgrading the PanTher™ LS8E Hand-Held Thermal Transfer Printer
Firmware
1. Open PanTherLink software.
2. Select Upgrades the LS8 firmware from the toolbar. The icon shows “BIN”
with an arrow pointing away from a computer.
3. To enter USB upgrade mode on the LS8 printer, hold the F5 button and
power the LS8E printer on.
4. Click OK on your computer.
5. The current firmware will be backed up first. A progress bar will show for this
process.
6. Click OK to continue after the firmware has been backed up.
7. Select the model of the printer from the picture on the screen. LS8E or
LS8EQ. Click on the picture of your model printer.
8. Click YES to confirm your model.
9. The Upgrading Firmware progress bar will appear. The LS8E printer screen
will display Receiving Firmware. The upgrade takes approximately 3 minutes
to complete.
10.
DO NOT INTERRUPT THE UPGRADING PROCESS!
11. Once the Firmware upgrade successful message appears on your computer,
Click OK.
12. The LS8E printer will reboot automatically after the upgrade.
