LOCK PHONE NOW
Lock the phone now.
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press
9. Tools & Settings , 4. Phone Settings , 4. Security .
2. Enter the four-digit lock code and press the
Key.
3. Press
4. Lock Phone Now .
4. To unlock the phone from idle mode, slide the phone up, then press the
Right Soft Key
[ Unlock ] and enter the four-digit lock code and press
the
Key.
FACTORY RESET
To delete all User Data and restore all settings to their initial defaults:
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press
9. Tools & Settings , 4. Phone Settings , 4. Security .
2. Enter the four-digit lock code and press the Key.
3. Press
5. Factory Reset .
4. A conrmation message appears in the display, select Yes , and then press
the
Key.
5. After reading the message that appears, press the
Key.
6. Enter the four-digit lock code. The phone will turn o and then back on
again automatically.
SYSTEM SELECT
You can set your phone to search or roam on another network when you are not in your
home area. Leave this setting as default unless you want to alter the system selection as
instructed by your service provider.
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press 9. Tools & Settings ,
4. Phone Settings , 5. System Select .
2. Select
Home Only , Automatic A or Automatic B , then press the Key.
• Home Only: Network is available only within your home area or home aliated area.
•
Automatic: Scans radio channels based on the Automatic setting.
The automatic setting can be displayed as Automatic B and Automatic A depending on PRL.
CALL SETTINGS
ANSWER OPTIONS
To determine how to answer an incoming call:
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press 9. Tools & Settings ,
5. Call Settings , 1. Answer Options .
2. Select Slide Open , Send Key , Any Key or Auto with Handsfree then press
the
Key [ MARK ].
Slide Open is the default setting for this device.
3. Press the Left Soft Key [ Done ].
• When the phone is closed, Auto with Handsfree mode will not function, except when
a headset is connected.
• Auto with Handsfree will function after about ve seconds.
• Auto with Handsfree is available only when a headset or handsfree device is
connected.
• To answer incoming calls, press the Send Key .
AUTO RETRY
To set a period of time the phone waits before automatically redialing when an
attempted call fails:
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press 9. Tools & Settings ,
5. Call Settings , 2. Auto Retry .
2. Select one of the following settings, then press the
Key [ SET ].
