• Lock/Unlock : Locks or unlock the current sound for a downloaded sound.
•
Erase: Deletes the sound.
• Erase All: Deletes all the sounds from your phone or memory card.
•
File Info: Displays information about the selected sound.
RECORDING NEW SOUNDS
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press 4. Multimedia ,
2. Sounds .
2. Press
1. Record New .
3. Press the
Key to begin recording. When done, press the Key [ STOP ] to
nish recording. The recording is automatically saved to your Sounds list.
4. Your recording is saved with a number. To rename your recording, scroll to it
with the Directional Key
in the Sounds menu, then press the Right Soft
Key
[ Options ].
5. Press 2. Rename .
6. Press and hold the CLR Key
to erase the number, enter the new name
for your recording, then press the
Key.
SETTING SOUNDS
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press 4. Multimedia ,
2. Sounds .
2. Select the sound you want to set, press the Left Soft Key [ Set As ], then
select one of the following options and press the
Key.
• Ringtone: Set as a ringtone. A conrmation message appears.
• Contact ID : The SET AS CONTACT ID screen appears. Select the Contact you want to
assign the ringtone to, then press the
Key.
•
Alert Sounds: Press the corresponding number key to set the ringtone for one of the
following options:
1. All Messages / 2. Text Messages / 3. Multimedia Messages / 4. Voicemail
RINGTONES
TO PLAY DOWNLOADED TUNES OR TONES:
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press 4. Multimedia ,
3. Ringtones .
2. Select the tune or tone you want to play, then press the
Key [ PLAY ].
3. To stop, press the
Key [ STOP ].
4. Press the Right Soft Key
[ Options ] to access the following options:
• Erase: Deletes the ringtones.
•
Rename: Renames the ringtones.
• Lock/Unlock : Locks or unlock the current ringtones for a downloaded ringtones.
•
Erase All: Deletes all the ringtones from your phone or memory card.
• File Info: Displays information about the selected ringtones.
TO ERASE DOWNLOADED TUNES OR TONES:
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press 4. Multimedia ,
3. Ringtones .
2. Select the tune or tone to erase and press the Right Soft Key
[ Options ].
3. Select Erase and press the Key.
4. Select
Yes and press the Key.
The preloaded Ringtones cannot be erased.
TO ASSIGN DOWNLOADED TUNES OR TONES:
1. Slide the phone up, press the Key [ MENU ], then press 4. Multimedia ,
3. Ringtones .
2. Select the desired ringtone, then press the Left Soft Key
[ Set As ].
3. Select one of the following options, then press the Key.
• 1. Ringtone: Set as a ringtone. A conrmation message appears.
• 2. Contact ID: The SET AS CONTACT ID screen appears. Select the Contact you want to
assign the ringtone to, then press the
Key.

3. Alert Sounds: Press the corresponding number key to set the ringtone for one of the
following:
All Messages / Text Messages / Multimedia Messages /
Voicemail
