appears. When a full icon appears, you cannot receive any new messages.
When you open the phone, the notification “Message full Please delete”
appears on the display. You must delete one or more of the old messages
in order to make memory available for the new messages. Use the [Delete]
option within the each mailbox, or use the [Delete All] option to delete all
the messages.
• Write New: Writes a multimedia message (MMS) or a text message
(SMS)
• Inbox: Displays the received messages in the SIM and Phone memory.
You can save up to 50 messages in the phone memory and more
messages are received only if the SIM capacity is available. So you
can see over 50 messages in the Inbox. The “10” in [10/20] represents
the number of unread messages, whereas the “20” represents the
number of saved messages in the Inbox.
• Sent: Displays the stored messages in the phone memory that were
sent. This depends on the settings for Save Messages. Sent can
display more than 30 messages.
• Outbox: Displays the list of stored messages that have not been sent.
30 messages can be saved to phone memory.
• Draft: Displays the list of stored messages that were not completed
and stored as Draft. You can save up to 30 messages in Draft.
• Templates: Displays the default template and your saved templates.
You can save up to 30 messages in the phone memory (including the
default template).
• Settings: Sets up the environment for messages.
• Memory Info: Displays the free space of the SIM or phone memory.
Write New
Press [Menu] Soft key, select 2. Messaging, select 1. Write New, and then
press the
[ ] key.
1. In the To: screen enter the number of the person you want to send a
text to, or press the [Options] key and select [Add receipient], enter
the number of the other person’s you want to send a text to.
2. Press [
] and enter your text message using the alphanumeric keys.
Your message can be up to a maximum of 1120 characters. One
standard text consists of 160 characters. If you use more than 160
characters in your text message, you’ll be charged for two or more
messages.
NOTE:
• Press [ ] to enter a space between words.
• Press [ ] to switch between input modes e.g. abc, T9, 123 etc..
• Uses T9 – a predictive text input method allowing you to type quickly.
Type in the word using the alphanumeric keys. If the word you want isn’t on
the screen press [
] to view other options.
3. While you are entering a text message, press the [Options] key for
more editing options. Use [
/ ] key to select an item and press the
[
] key.
• Send: To send your text message.
• Add receipient: To add a receipient phone number.
• Add subject: To add the message subject.
