Inputting characters and numbers
To input a number, press the number keypad associated with the number
you wish to input. To input characters from your phone, you must be in
the 'T9' mode (such as Phonebook and Message).
For additional information, see the 'T9' section in the Appendix.
Press the [ ] key to delete a character, or press and hold the
[ ] key to delete all characters in a line. If you press and hold the
[ ] key for an extended period of time, all characters on the screen
will be erased.
Speed Dial
There are two ways to make a phone call from the idle screen. The
general method is to dial the destination number and press the [ ]
key; the other is to use the speed dial function. There are two ways to
make a call using the speed dial function. If the index number of the
phone number you wish to call is a single digit number (1~9), simply
press and hold the index number. If the index number is a double digit
number (10 ~ 99), press the index number and then press the [ ]
key. Then, your phone will attempt to make a call to that number
automatically. For example, if the index number of a phone number
stored in the phonebook is '5,' pressing and holding the [ ] key
will place a call to the phone number associated with the index. The
index range available for using the speed dial is 01 through 99.
Making an international call
To make an international call, press and hold the [ ]key until you
see a ‘+’ sign on the screen. Once you see the ‘+’ sign, enter the
destination country code.
Making an emergency call
You can make an emergency call by entering 112 (emergency number)
and pressing the [ ]key. If you are within the GSM network range,
you may make emergency phone calls in any country whether a SIM
card has been installed in your phone or not.
Incoming call in standby
If you failed to answer an incoming call for whatever reason, your phone
will display a message reminding you that you missed the call. If you
wish to call the number of the missed call, select [MENU] -> [Call logs]
-> [Missed calls]. Use the [ ][ ]key to scroll to the number
you wish to call and press the [ ]key to dial.
