TheBoroncontainshighlysensitiveelectroniccircuitryandisanElectrostaticSensitiveDevice
(ESD).HandlingBoronwithoutproperESDprotectionmaydestroyordamageitpermanently.
ProperESDhandlingandpackagingproceduresmustbeappliedthroughouttheprocessing,
handlingandoperationofanyapplicationthatincorporatesBoron.ESDprecautionsshouldbe
implementedontheapplicationboardwheretheBoronismounted.Failuretoobservethese
precautionscanresultinseveredamagetotheBoron!
TherearefourconnectorsontheBoronthatwillgetdamagedwithimproperusage.TheJST
connectoronthecircuitboard,whereyouplugintheLiPobattery,isverydurablebutthe
connectoronthebatteryitselfisnot.Whenunpluggingthebattery,takeextraprecautiontoNOT
pulltheconnectorusingthewires,butinsteadholdtheplugatitsbasetoavoidputtingstresson
thewires.Thiscanbetrickywithbarehands-nosepliersareyourfriendhere.
ThemicroBUSBconnectorontheBoronissolderedonthePCBwithlargesurfacepadsaswellas
coupleofthroughholeanchorpoints.Despitethisreinforcement,itisveryeasytoripoutthe
connectoriftoomuchstressisputonintheverticaldirection.
TheU.FLantennaconnectorisnotdesignedtobeconstantlypluggedandunplugged.The
antennapinisstaticsensitiveandyoucandestroytheradiowithimproperhandling.Atinydabof
