The Problem:
The Solution:
In new construction, contractors everywhere find it
easier to cut square holes rather than round holes for
DWV pipe and closet flanges.
However, the holes in the subfloor must be cut larger
then the pipe to allow the closet flange to be pushed
onto the pipe.
PASCO’s NEW Quick Set Square Closet Flange
will solve the problem of properly supporting a closet
flange mounted in a square hole. Keep in mind that
the pipe d oesn’t support the flange, the sub-floor does.
Simply push the QUICK SET CLOSET FLANGE flush
on the DWV pipe and alternately tighten the four
stainless steel screws. Secure to subfloor with brass
wood screws.
In the majority of installations too much wood has been
removed to properly secure a round closet flange.
