Pre-Assembly PLANNING ASSEMBLY When you are ready to start, make sure that you have the right tools at hand, plenty of space and a clean dry area for assembly. Assembly 1Attach the wheel assembly to the base 2 Attach the ground fixtures to the base □ Mount the three anchoring arms (Il) to the holes on the base (H) using six M6x12 bolts (AA) and six M6 nuts (BB). □ Align the holes in the wheel assembly (I) with the holes in the base (H), and attach the wheel assembly to the base using two M6x12 bolts (AA) and two M6 nuts (BB). □ After assembly, secure the patio heater in place by hammering three anchoring nuts (JJ) into the ground through the anchoring arms.
Assembly (continued) 3 Attach support legs to the base 5 Place the tank housing □ Attach the three support legs (G) to the top of the base (H) using three M8 bolts (CC). □ Place the tank housing (E) on top of the assembly. G H CC 4 Attach the post support to the support legs □ Attach the post support (F) to the top of the support legs (G) using six M6 x 22 bolts (DD) and six M6 nuts (BB).
Assembly (continued) 6 7 Attach reflector studs to the head Attach the table top to the post support assembly □ Unscrew the plastic nut through the post support (F) in the order shown below and then tighten it. Adjust the hight of the tabletop. Loosen the plastic nut and adjust the tabletop to the height you want. □ Screw the threaded end of the reflector studs (FF) into the top holes of the head assembly (C).
Assembly (continued) 8 Install the reflector 9 Attach the reflector to the head assembly WARNING: Remove plastic protective coating on □ Attach the reflector assembly made in step 7 to the top of the reflector studs (FF) on the head assembly (C). Fasten with six flat washers (HH) and three wing nuts (GG). the reflector panel (A) and center the reflector (B) before assembling! □ Slide two reflector panels (A) together and assemble the outer rim using one small screw (LL) and one cap nut (KK).
Assembly (continued) 10 Attach the head assembly to the post □ Unscrew the four screws that are preassembled on the head assembly (C). Place the head assembly (C) into the top of the post (D) by inserting the regulator (H) into the post (D). Tightly fasten the previously removed screws back into the head assembly (C) through the slots at the top of the post (D). □ Remove the pre-assembled screws from the post support (F) and attach post (D) to the post support (F) using those 4 screws.
Assembly (continued) 12 Place the gas cylinder in the base 11 Install the battery □ Place the 20 lb gas cylinder in the center of the base and fasten it with the webbing (MM). □ Unscrew the sparker button (1) and insert the battery (NN), positive side facing outwards. 1 NN 13 Attach the regulator to the cylinder valve □ Turn the cylinder valve on the tank clockwise to close the propane tank. Attach the regulator (H) to the cylinder valve by turning the regulator coupling nut clockwise.
Operation □ Before performing a leak test, be sure that no sparks can occur and you are in a spacious outdoor area. Connect the propane gas tank to the regulator and turn the valve on the unit to the "off" position. Brush a soap and water mixture on all connections. Turn the gas supply on; if bubbles occur on any connection there may be a leak. If you smell gas or a leak is discovered turn the gas valve off, disconnect propane gas tank and do not use the appliance until the leak is repaired.
Operation (continued) □ Before performing any maintenance always disconnect propane gas tank. □ Keep the heating item free and clear from combustible materials. □ Visually inspect the burner for obstructions and keep the tank enclosure free and clear from debris. Use a soft brush to get rid of the mild stains, loose dirt and soil after the burner is completely cooled down. Wipe down with a soft cloth. □ Harsh weather conditions may cause stubborn stains, discoloration and possibly rust pitting.
Operation (continued) LEAK TESTING Your patio heater has been checked at all factory connections for leakage. To check the connection at the gas hose/regulator/cylinder: □□ Ensure you are in a well ventilated area. □□ Confirm all control knobs are in the off position. □□ Open the gas control valve on the bottle. □□ Check for leaks by brushing a solution of 50% water and 50% dish soap over the gas system joints, including all valve connections, hose connections and regulator connections.
Maintenance FLAME CHARACTERISTIC □ □ □ □ The heater should not be operated again until the unit is serviced or repaired. Yellow Tip SCREW AND BOLT CONNECTIONS □ All screws and bolts, etc, should be checked and tightened on a regular basis. STORAGE □ Do not leave the patio heater exposed to outside weather conditions or stored in damp moist conditions. □ damaged or deformed, as this will affect performance.
