Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product.
WARNING: When using outdoor use portable lighting products, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and personal injury
including the following:
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
a) Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection should be provided on the circuits or outlet to
be used for the outdoor use exible lighting product. Receptacles are available that have built-in
GFCI protection for this measure of safety.
b) Only use outdoor extension cords such as type SEW, SEOW, SEOOW, SOW, SOOW, STW,
STOW, STOOW, SJEW, SJEOW, SJEOOW, SJW, SJOW, SJOOW, SJTW, SJTOW, or SJTOOW.
This designation is marked on the wire of the extension cord.
• Do not use with extension cord near water or where water may accumulate.
• The rated voltage for this product is 120VAC, 60Hz, 0.14A.
• Do not cover this product as the covering may cause the exible light to overheat and melt or
ignite.
• Do not operate this product with the exible light tightly coiled.
• Do not puncture, cut, shorten, or splice the exible lighting.
• Do not route the cord or exible lighting through walls, doors, windows, or any similar part of the
building structure.
• Do not use if there is any damage to the light or cord insulation. Inspect periodically.
• Do not submerge the exible light in liquids, or use the product in the vicinity of standing water or
other liquids.
• Secure this exible light using only the hangers or clips provided. Do not secure this product or its
cord with staples, nails, or similar means that may damage the insulation or permanently attach to
the building structure.
• Do not subject exible lighting to continuous exing.
• DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM EXTENSION LENGTH IN FEET PERMITTED BY THE
MARKING. The maximum extension length for this rope light is 198 feet.
• This product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the
risk of electric shock. This plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t
fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not use
with an extension cord unless plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter or replace the plug.
• Do not mount of secure the rope light in a manner that can cut the outer jacket or damage the
cord insulation. Inspect the rope light carefully before use and discard any rope lights that have a
broken outer jacket, loose connections, or frayed wire insulation.
• Do not install the rope lighting on gates or doors where it could be subject to exing.
• Do not install the rope lighting in cabinets, tanks, or enclosures of any kind.
• Do not install the rope lighting within 16 feet of a pool or spa.
• Do not install the rope lighting near ammable liquids.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Before beginning assembly, installation, or operation of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare
parts with package and hardware contents lists on page 1. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt
to assemble, install or operate the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts.
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips Screwdriver, Safety Glasses, possibly Ladder
Estimated assembly time: 50 minutes
WARNING
• Turn off electricity at main fuse box (or circuit breaker box) before beginning installation by removing fuse (or
switching off circuit breaker).
• Be careful not to damage or cut the wire insulation (covering) during xture installation. Do not permit power
cord or PVC housing to contact any surface having a sharp edge. To do so may damage or cut the wire
insulation, which could cause serious injury or death from electric shock.

1. Carefully remove all the parts
from the packaging, and lay them
out on a smooth workspace.
Remove the packing material and
uncoil the rope light. Be careful not
to cut or nick the rope light (A).

2. Push the rope light (A) into
power cord (B) by aligning the cord
adapters, and fully tighten threaded
connector to preclude the entrance
of water.
3. Attach mounting clips (C) with
mounting screws (D) onto wooden
surfaces. Mounting clips (C)
should be evenly spaced and be a
maximum of 3 feet apart. Make sure
that the distance between two lines
of rope light is at least 1/2 in.

4. Snap rope light (A) into
mounting clips (C).
5. Plug power cord (B) into the
nearest outlet to turn on.
WARNING: If installed
outdoors, use a Ground Fault
Circuit Interrupting (GFCI)
outlet for safe operation

1. Ensure that all rope lights are
unplugged before adding additional
rope light segments to the series.
4. Connect the last rope light
in the series and the extension
rope light together and ensure
the connectors are tightly
secured to preclude the entry of
water.
Extend up to 198 feet maximum. Use only Patriot
Lighting
®
LED rope light extension segments
346-0812, 346-0813, 346-0814, 346-0815,
346-0816, 346-0817, and 346-0818.
2. Remove the end cap from the
last rope light in the series by
unscrewing the plastic ring on the
end cap.
5. Attach the end cap to the
last rope light in the series and
ensure the connection is tightly
secured to preclude the entry of
water.

3. Remove the power cord from the
extension rope light.
