MOUNTING OPTIONS Closemount Downrod Mount Angled Ceiling Mount (Up to 10 degrees) Choose one of the following mounting options: Closemount method is best suited for ceilings lower than 8 feet. It does not utilize the downrod. Downrod Mount is best suited for ceilings 8 ft. or higher. For taller ceilings you may want to use a longer downrod (not included). Angled Ceiling Mount is best suited for angled or vaulted ceilings.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS READ ALL SAFETY INFORMATION AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN INSTALLING THE FAN AND SAVE INSTRUCTIONS. CAUTION: All set screws of the fan must be checked and retightened where necessary before installation. To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend the blade brackets when installing the brackets, balancing the blades or cleaning fan. Do not insert foreign objects in between rotating fan blades.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Turn OFF the electrical power at the main fuse or circuit breaker. 1 2. Loosen all four mounting brackets screws, then completely remove the two mounting bracket screws from the round holes of canopy. Set aside screws for later use. Mounting Bracket Screw 2 Warning: To reduce the risk of fire electric shock, or personal injury, mount to the outlet box marked “acceptable for fan support” and use the mounting screws and washers provided with the outlet box.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 5. Feed the wires coming from the yoke in the top of the motor assembly through the yoke cover, canopy and out through the top of the downrod. Downrod Canopy Yoke Cover 5 Yoke Downrod 6. Insert the downrod into the yoke and reinstall the downrod pin and downrod clip. Then retighten the two set screws. Secure all wiring connections together with wire connectors according to the diagram and these steps: • Connect the Green wires from the fan and the mounting bracket to the Bare/Green (ground) supply wire. Note: Closemount installation does not utilize the downrod, so there will only be two green wires.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Single-pin Connector Fitter Plate Screw 12 12. Remove loosen two and completely remove one of the fitter plate screws from the fitter plate and save for next step. Then, connect the single-pin connectors from the fan to the single-pin connectors from the light kit -blue to black and white to white. Light Kit 13. Align the holes in the light kit with loosened fitter plate scrws and turn in a clockwise direction. Re-install the fitter plate screw.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 16. Restore the power at the main fuse or circuit breaker. 16 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Reverse Switch 1 A B C D 1. Using a ceiling fan will allow you to raise your thermostat setting in summer and lower your thermostat setting in winter without feeling a difference in your comfort. Note: Wait for the fan to stop before moving the reverse switch. In warmer weather, push the reverse switch left which will result in downward airflow creating a wind chill effect.
TROUBLESHOOTING If you have difficulty operating your new ceiling fan, it may be the result of incorrect assembly, installation or wiring. In some cases, these installation errors may be mistaken for defects. If you experience any faults, please check the Troubleshooting section below.
