Installation Instructions

1. Thread the cord through the canopy and strain relief.
Measure the desired length of the cord (A) from the
canopy to the exterior glass shade and leave additional
9" cord (B) above the canopy (include the canopy). Then
cut off the unnecessary cord. (See Fig.1)
2. Adjust Strain Relief at 9" position from the top of the cord.
3. Mark the 3" cord (C) from the top of the cord (B). Use a
knife to peel off the insulation of the cord (C) carefully to
show the 3 inside wires out. (See Fig.1)
Caution: Cutting too deep may cut off three inside
wires and destroy the insulation surface of the three
inside wires.
4. Peel off the 3 wires from the top about 3/8" long (D) to
expose the copper for wiring.
5. Install a bulb (not included). See relamping label at socket
area or packaging for maximum allowed wattage.
6. Place the interior glass shade into the center of exterior glass
shade, and then hold the socket into the interior glass shade.
Thread the three set screws through each holes of interior
and exterior glass shades, and then secure them into the
support. (See Fig.2)
7. Unscrew the screws from the canopy.
8. Mount mounting strap securely to ceiling box with 2 mounting
screws through slot in mounting strap.
9. Pull out the outlet wires and the house grounding wire from
the outlet box. Make wire connections using the wire nuts:
--- The clear wire with black line and marked "L" from the
fixture to the black wire from the power source.
--- The clear wire marked "N" from the fixture to the white
wire from the power source.
--- The clear grounding wire with green line and marked
" " from the fixture to the green grounding wire from
power source.
Carefully put wires back into the outlet box.
10. Pull the cord (A) down slightly until the strain relief touches
the hex nut. Attach the canopy to the mounting strap by
using 2 screws.
Note: Adjusting the strain relief can decrease or increase
the length of the cord and exposing the outside.
11. Turn on the power at the main fuse or circuit breaker box.
