ASSEMBLY
STEP 3. Using the Allen Wrench and
a Standard Phillips Head Screwdriver,
tighten the Barrel Bolt Assembly from STEP
2, careful not to over-tighten (FIGURE 3).
STEP 4. Repeat STEPS 1-3 for the Leg
marked "R" and right side of the Footstool
Body.
STEP 5. Set your Durawood Footstool up-
righ; you're done with assembly. Now go
ahead and kick your feet up you've
earned it!
STEP 1.
Locate Barrel Bolt parts; keep
pieces handy.
With the Footstool Body placed
underside-up on a flat surface, and
the side with the tongue-and-groove
slots facing away from you, slide the
grooved end of the Leg marked "L"
over the tongue piece on the left
side of the Footstool Body (FIGURE 1).
STEP 2. With one hand still holding the "L" Leg
against the Footstool Body, use your other hand
to t the Barrel Bolt from STEP 1 into the hole at
that same end of the Footstool Body (FIGURE 2).
Fit the Bolt Fastener over the bottom of the Bar-
rel Bolt, following the instructions on Using Barrel
Bolts, above.
NOTE: Parts
are made to
connect pre-
cisely, so you
may nd the
t a little tight
during
assembly.
If so, lightly
tap parts into
place with a
Rubber Mallet.

USING BARREL BOLTS
To correctly thread Barrel Bolts to
Bolt Fasteners: Fit the Fastener over the
bottom of the Bolt, turning the Fastener
at first counterclockwise, until you hear a
slight click, which means the Bolt is in its
groove. Now begin tightening clock-wise
as you normally would. NOTE: Holes for
bolts may seem too big, this tolerance
will not impact joint, once both barrel
bolt halves are properly secured.
