5.6.3.2 Master Slave Topology idRU Connections
Refer to Section 2.3 for a general description of the Master Slave topology, and to Section 4.4.5.1 for
detailed information on the Master Slave element connections and illustrations.
For a Master Slave installation connect the idRUs as follows
1. Referring to the site plan, connect the MAIN CPRI port of each first idRU in the string or single idRU to
a CPRI port on either the Master or the Slave MSDH
2. For cascaded idRUs – interconnect AUX1 CPRI of one idRU to MAIN CPRI of next idRU as illustrated
in the following figure.
3. Do NOT connect the AUX1 port of the last idRU.
4. Plug the unused AUX1 port of the last idRU using the items described in Section 5.6.5.
