Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals
CAUTION:
Causes moderate eye irritation. Harmful if absorbed through the skin.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear long-sleeved shirt, long pants,
shoes, socks, and chemical-resistant gloves made of barrier laminate, nitrile
rubber, neoprene rubber, or viton. Harmful if swallowed. Prolonged or frequently
repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.
Personal Hygiene Statements
After using this product, rinse gloves before removing, remove clothing and
launder separately before reuse, and promptly and thoroughly wash hands and
exposed skin with soap and water. Remove saturated clothing as soon as
possible and shower.
First Aid
If swallowed:
Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for
treatment advice.
Do not induce vomiting unless told to by a poison
control center or doctor.
• Do not give any liquid to the person.
Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person.

may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in water adjacent to treated areas. Do
not contaminate water when disposing of equipment wash waters or rinsate.

his chemical has properties and characteristics associated with chemicals

etected in groundwater. The use of this chemical in areas where soils
are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in

roundwater contamination. Application around a cistern or well may result in

ontamination of drinking water or groundwater.

ENERAL PRECAUTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS:
Do not apply this product in a way that will contact any person or pet, either
directly or through drift. Keep people and pets out of the area during
a
pplication.
Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until sprays have dried.
Not for use on turf being grown for sale or other commercial use as sod, or for
commercial seed production, or for research purposes.
Do not apply directly to or near water, storm drains, gutters, sewers, or
d
rainage ditches. Do not apply within 25 feet of rivers, fish ponds, lakes,
s
treams, reservoirs, marshes, estuaries, bays, and oceans. Do not apply when
windy. To prevent product run-off, do not overwater the treated areas to the
point of runoff or apply when raining or when rain is expected that day. Rinse
a
pplicator over lawn or garden area only.
Do not apply as a fine mist because of potential for injury to desirable plants.

RODUCT DESCRIPTION:
T
his product is a combination of four proven weed killers: 2,4-D, mecoprop-p,
dicamba and carfentrazone-ethyl. Postemergent applications of this product con-
trol a wide range of broadleaf lawn weeds in residential lawns including dande-
l
ion, chickweed, spurge, pennywort (dollarweed), knotweed, plantain, and clover.

Injury symptoms on broadleaf weeds can be noticed within hours of the

pplication and plant death can occur within 7 to 14 days.
WHERE TO USE:
This product is intended for use on most ornamental lawns including:
Cool-Season Turfgrass Warm-Season Turfgrass
Kentucky bluegrass Common bermudagrass
Perennial ryegrass Hybrid bermudagrass
Tall fescue Zoysiagrass
Red or fine leaf fescues
Colonial bentgrass
Mixtures of cool-season species
Turfgrass tolerance:
The turfgrass tolerance to SPEEDZONE
®
Lawn Weed Killer may vary and
temporary turfgrass yellowing may occur on certain varieties (hybrids) of hybrid
bermudagrass.
SPEEDZONE Lawn Weed Killer may injure certain turfgrass species. To reduce
risk of lawn injury, avoid spraying drought stressed lawns or when temperatures
are above 85°F.
Prohibitions:
Do not use this product on bahiagrass, buffalograss, carpetgrass, centipede-
grass, dichondra, St. Augustinegrass, or lawns containing desirable clovers.

Do not allow spra

ift onto vegetables, flowers, ornamental plants, shrubs,
trees and other desirable plants since injury may result.
Do not exceed specified dosages for any area. Be particularly careful within
dripline of trees and other ornamental species.
Limitations on 2,4-D applications to residential turfgrass
The maxim
um application r
ate is 1.5 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per applica-
tion (0.8 lbs
.
2,4-D acid equiv
alent per acre per application).
The maximum num-
ber of broadcast applications is limited to 2 per year. The maximum seasonal rate
is 3.0 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. (1.6 lbs. 2,4-D acid equivalent per acre),
excluding spot treatments.
WHEN TO APPLY:
Spray when broadleaf weeds are young and actively growing for best results.
SPEEDZONE Lawn Weed Killer may be applied in the spring, summer, or fall.
Spring and fall treatments under adequate soil moisture conditions are preferred
to the summer treatments.
Broadcast (entire areas) applications or follow-up applications at 2 to 6 week
intervals are recommended for more mature weeds, for dense infestations, and
for adverse environmental conditions.
Spot treatments during the summer may be appropriate for sparse infestations, or
as a follow-up treatment, or any time broadleaf weeds are susceptible.
