4.5. Continuity test
1. Connect the black test lead to the COM-jack and the red test lead
to the V//mA-jack. (Note: The polarity of the red lead connection
is positive “+”)
2. Set the function switch to

)))/Diode position.
3. In continuity testing if continuity exists (i.e. resistance less than
about 50) built-in buzzer will sound.
CAUTION! Never perform a continuity measurement on a circuit that
has power connected!
4.6. Diode
1. Connect red test lead to "V//mA" jack, black test lead to "COM"
jack.
2. Set the FUNCTION switch to the

))) position and connect
the red test leads to the anode of diode and black to cathode.
The display will then show the approx. forward voltage of this
diode. If connect the test leads on the other way round, the
display will show an overrange status "1"
