4.2 Single – pole phase test
Note: The single-pole phase test is not suitable for determining the absence of voltage
The single-phase test tests whether a phase is live. The voltage
tester only signals if a voltage is present above a voltage of 100V
AC.
This is signaled with the symbol lamp .
To obtain a meaningful measurement, it is recommended to
perform a two-pole voltage test.
4.3 Resistance measurement
Note: Measure resistance only on de-energized conductors.
By pressing and holding (for about 2 seconds) the button for
resistance measurement, the voltage tester is switched on manually
and is set directly to the resistance measurement.
To measure the resistance of a device / line, it have to be
connected to the probes. It is possible to measure resistances in
the range between 1Ω and 1999Ω.
After performing the measurement, press the resistance
measurement button again for about 2 seconds to turn off the
voltage tester.
4.4 Continuity test
Note: Check continuity only on de-energized conductors.
The continuity test makes it possible to check the continuity of a
wire or a device / component. When the passage is detected, the
continuity check LED will illuminate and the beeper will sound.
