4.5. Continuity test
1. Connect the test leads to the pair of wires under test
2. Switch the tone generator to the CONT position
3. The LED is GREEN for low resistance or continuity. The LED
glows less brightly when the resistance rises and goes out at
about 10,000 ohms.
5. Tone selection
The output of the tone generator can be set to continuous or sweep.
To change the type of output, remove the terminals from all circuits,
open the battery compartment and change the position of the tone
selector.
6. Battery replacement
Both the generator and the receiver require their own battery. If
empty, you will not be able to send or receive a signal and will need
to install new batteries for future use. Install a new battery by
removing the battery cover of the tone generator or receiver and
removing the installed 9V block battery from the battery clip.
6.1. Statutory instructions for battery regulation
In the scope of supply of many devices are batteries (e.g.) to operate
remote controls. Even in the devices themselves batteries or
rechargeable batteries can be permanently installed. In connection
with the distribution of these batteries or rechargeable batteries, as an
importer under the Battery Ordinance, we are obliged to inform our
customers as follows:
Please dispose of old batteries, as prescribed by law - disposal in
household waste is expressly forbidden according to the Battery
