1. Safety Precautions
This product complies with the requirements of the following European
Community Directives: 2004/108/EC (Electromagnetic Compatibility)
amended by 2004/22/EC (CE-Marking). Pollution degree 2.
To ensure safe operation of the equipment and eliminate the danger of
serious injury due to short-circuits (arcing), the following safety
precautions must be observed.
• Do not operate the equipment near strong magnetic fields (motors,
transformers etc.).
• Use extreme caution when the laser beam is turned ON (laser
emission)
• Do not let the beam enter your eye, another person’s eye or
the eye of an animal
• Be careful not to let the beam on a reflective surface strike
your eye
• Do not allow the laser light beam impinge on any gaseous
substances which can explode
• Avoid direct contact with the laser beam (do not expose body
to laser-emission)
• Keep the instrument and the thermocouples dry.
• Do not operate the meter before the cabinet has been closed and
screwed safely.
• Check test leads and probes for faulty insulation or bare wires
before connection to the equipment.
• Comply with the warning labels and other info on the equipment.
• Do not operate the equipment unattended.
