4. Operating Instruction
1.) Activate the unit by pressing ON/OFF-key
2.) Remove the protection cover from the photo-diode (pull off
upwards)
3.) * Press the Unit-key to switch between the two measurement
units (LUX or ftc)
* To switch on the LCD-backlight press and hold the Unit-
button for 2 sec., to turn off the backlight press and hold the
Unit-button for 2 sec. again.
4.) If applicable, press the Func.-key to activate the Data-Hold
function
5.) If applicable, press the Func.-key again to activate the „MAX“ or
„MIN“ measurement modes
6.) Move the photo-detector to the light source in a horizontal
position
7.) Read the illuminance value from the LC-Display. If value is over
range „OL“ is displayed
8.) After the measurement power off the unit an apply protection
cap
4.1. Spectral sensitivity characteristic
To the detector the applied photo diode with filters makes the
spectral sensitivity characteristic almost meet C.I.E. (International
Commission on Illumination) photopia curve V (λ) as the following
chart described.
