ENGLISH Introduction Thank you for purchasing the powered version of the Impulse®1015. The 1015P features a bi-amped power section that provides 800 Watts peak dynamic power for the woofer and 200 Watts peak dynamic power for the compression driver tweeter, both with Peavey’s DDT™ compression. Offering a 15" BWX Black Widow® woofer and the RX™22 compression driver, the 1015P also provides mixed-mic and line-level balanced inputs with volume control and loop-thru jacks.
Rear Panel REAR PANEL DESCRIPTION 6 4 8 7 (1) CIRCUIT BREAKER The unit is AC power line circuit breakerprotected from overloads and fault conditions with a resettable 8 Amp breaker. In the rare event this unit should trip the breaker, turn the power switch to the OFF position, reset the breaker by pushing the center lever in all the way and reactivate the power switch. If the breaker lever does not stay in, it may need to cool first.
the mic level is set using this knob, and the ancillary signal (music into the In/Out jacks) level is then set using the source or feed (mixer). (7) MIC ON SWITCH When this switch is in the ON position, it connects the mic input jack (8) to the preamp circuitry. If the microphone is not in use, this switch should be in the OFF position to minimize noise or hum pickup from the mic input. WARNING: The Impulse 1015P is extremely efficient and powerful! This sound system can permanently damage hearing! Use extreme care setting the overall maximum loudness! The apparent sound level of the Impulse 1015P can be deceiving due to its clear, clean sound output. The lack of distortion or obvious distress can make the sound level seem much lower than it actually is.
GETTING AC POWER TO THE IMPULSE 1015P The Impulse 1015P comes with an 8' IEC connection AC power cord. It is likely that some sort of extension cord will be used with this powered speaker system, so make sure the extension cord is no longer than necessary and of a sufficient current capacity to maintain safety. Extension cords no longer than necessary and of the largest current capacity available will maximize the power output capability of the Impulse 1015P’s internal amplifiers.
The amplifiers in the Impulse 1015P are equipped with DDT™ and an LED indicator to show it has engaged. If the sound seems heavily compressed and the DDT indicator is lighting more than occasionally, then the drive level from the mixer (or the Volume control on the Impulse 1015P) needs to be reduced. When first turning on the sound system, switch-on all upstream electronics first, then the Impulse 1015P with its volume control fully counterclockwise (all the way down).
APPLICATIONS The Impulse 1015P has a variety of applications such as sound reinforcement, public address, side fill system or playback. With the optional monitor stand kit, the Impulse 1015P makes an excellent stage monitor. The Impulse 1015P can be used presentations or karaoke by using the mic input and regular line level inputs in conjunction with one another.
Distorted or Fuzzy Sound First, make sure the mixer (or signal source) is not clipping or being overdriven. This can sometimes occur when the Volume control (6) on the Impulse 1015P has been set too low (too far counterclockwise), and it takes a lot of signal to drive the unit to full power. Make sure the input plugs are fully seated in the input jacks (5) on the rear panel of the Impulse 1015P. Check to see that the proper inputs are being used (5) for line-level signals, not the mic input (8).
Cleaning Never clean the Impulse 1015P while plugged in or turned on! When the unit has been fully disconnected from AC power sources, a dry cloth can remove soil or other dirt. Never use strong solvents on the Impulse 1015P, as they could damage the cabinet. Do not allow ANY fluids to drip inside the Impulse 1015P! Touch-up If the Impulse 1015P cabinet becomes scratched or abraded, it can be touched-up using a black permanent marker.
Architectural and Engineering Specifications The powered loudspeaker system shall have a frequency response from 56 Hz to 18 kHz. The peak SPL with inaudible distortion shall reach 130 dB with music as a source when measured at a distance of 1 meter and driven to full output capacity. The system shall utilize a 15" BWX Black Widow® woofer and a RX™22 compression driver tweeter. The nominal radiation pattern shall be 90˚ in the horizontal plane and 45˚ in the vertical plane.

FRANÇAIS Introduction Merci d’avoir choisi la version amplifié de l’Impulse® 1015. PANEL TRASERO DESCRIPTION (1) CIRCUIT BREAKER (Disjoncteur) 6 4 8 7 Votre unité est équipée d’un circuit de protection et de détection muni d’un disjoncteur 8 amp. Si ce disjoncteur se déclenche, mettre votre unité hors-tension, remettre le disjoncteur en position enfoncé puis remettre votre unité sous tension. Si le disjoncteur se remet en protection immédiatement, laissez à votre unité un temps de latence pour refroidir, puis repositionnez-le en position enfoncée.
(7) INTERRUPTEUR PREAMPLI MICRO Quand ce sélecteur est en position enfoncé (IN), il connecte l’entrée Jack MIC (8) au préampli de votre unité. Si vous n’utilisez pas de microphone, ce sélecteur doit être en position OFF pour réduire les bruits parasites. (8) ENTREE MICROPHONE Cete entrée femelle XLR est prévue pour recevoir un microphone. Elle fournit une alimentation phantom de +15 V et s’accomode des niveaux de sorties de la majorité des microphones actuels.
UTILISER L’IMPULSE 1015P SUSPENDRE L’IMPULSE 1015P ATTENTION: Suspendre des enceintes doit être supervisé par un personnel qualifié. UTILISATION AVEC SUBWOOFER L’adaptateur de stand (Pôle) qui équipe votre enceinte permet de positionner celle-ci en conjonction avec les enceintes SUB des séries Q-Wave, SP, Hisys, Clubsys,... Le pôle utilisé (Peavey #00326540) est de 919 mm de long et de 35mm de diamètre. ENVOYER UN SIGNAL A L’IMPULSE 1015P L’Impulse 1015P propose plusieurs connections pour recevoir un signal d’entrée. L’utilisation de l’entrée microphone est décrite plus loin dans ce manuel.
Régler le volume du microphone grace au contrôle (6), en gardant en tête le fait que le volume va croissant lors d’une représentation, et que le microphone sera déplacé peut-être plus près de l’enceinte durant celle-ci. Pour un meilleur résultat, l’orateur doit parler avec le micro très proche de la bouche, sans ‘manger’ le micro (toucher le micro avec les lèvres, occasionnant des effets sonores). La distance idéale bouche-micro est de 4 à 7cm.
Souffle et bourdonnement: Essayez de connecter l’Impulse™ 1015P à une prise secteur différente. L’utilisation de différentes sources pour l’Impulse 1015P et la table de mixage peut parfois créer un bourdonnement. Assurez-vous que des câbles blindés ont été utilisés entre les entrées de l’Impulse 1015P et les sorties de la table de mixage. Assurez-vous que l’entrée microphone (8) n’est pas active si pas utilisée. L’interrupteur (7) doit être dans ce cas en position OFF (ou sortie).
N’entreposez pas l’appareil dans des endroits extrêmement froids ou chauds ou présentant des niveaux d’humidité élevés. Attendez que l’enceinte atteigne la température de la pièce avant utilisation. Nettoyage Ne nettoyez jamais l’Impulse™ 1015P lorsqu’elle est branchée ou sous tension! Une fois la prise secteur de l’appareil déconnectée, utilisez un chiffon légèrement humide pour retirez la saleté et la poussière.
Cette enceinte bi-amplifiée possède un connecteur COMBO (compatible Jack 1/4" et XLR femelles) et un connecteur XLR mâle montés en parallèle et acceptant un signal de niveau ligne. De plus, une entrée femelle XLR pour signal microphone est fournie, munie d’un interrupteur d’acitvation. Ceet enceinte possède également des entrées/sorties de chainage, ainsi qu’un contrôle de volume.

DEUTSCH Einleitung Wir möchten uns bei Ihnen dafür bedanken, dass Sie sich für das netzbetriebene Modell des Impulse® 1015 entschieden haben. Der 1015P ist mit einer Endstufe mit zwei Verstärkern ausgestattet, die 800 Watt dynamische Spitzenleistung für den Woofer und 200 Watt dynamische Spitzenleistung für den Hochtöner mit Kompressionstreiber – beide mit Peaveys DDT™-Kompression – liefert.
Rear Panel RÜCKSEITE 6 4 8 7 (1) ÜBERLASTSCHALTER Das Gerät ist durch einen rückstellbaren Wechselstrom-Netzüberlastschalter (8 Ampere) vor Überlastungen und Störungen gesichert. Sollte der Schalter am Gerät tatsächlich einmal auslösen (was selten geschieht), drehen Sie den Netzschalter auf die Position „Off", stellen den Überlastschalter zurück, indem Sie den mittleren Hebel ganz eindrücken, und schalten den Netzschalter erneut ein.
(6) VOLUME Mit diesem Regler wird die Verstärkung (Pegel) des Impulse 1015P-Systems geregelt. Beim Einsatz mit den Primary Input/Output-Klinken (5) wird dieser Regler zur direkten Einstellung des Systemausgangspegels verwendet. Wird der Mikrophoneingang zusammen mit den Primary In/Out-Klinken verwendet, wird der Mikropegel mit diesem Regler eingestellt, und der Pegel des Nebensignals (Musik in die In/Out-Klinken) wird danach über den Source- oder Feed-Regler (Mischpult) eingestellt.
Schließen Sie die Eingänge des Impulse 1015P NICHT an den Ausgang eines Verstärkers an. Die Eingänge sind so ausgelegt, dass sie von einem Signal mit Line-Pegelstärke getrieben werden müssen. Entfernen Sie NICHT das metallene Schutzgitter. Verwenden Sie die Input/Output-Klinken NICHT als Mischpult, indem Sie versuchen, mehr als eine Signalquelle gleichzeitig an sie anzuschließen.
Verwenden Sie immer eine geeignete Sicherheitskette oder ein geeignetes Drahtseil. Diese müssen durch den oberen Griff des Geräts geführt und fest an einem geeigneten Bauteil befestigt werden, wie von einem zugelassenen Bauingenieur angewiesen. Der empfohlene Drehmoment für den Montagebolzen beträgt 0,457 – 0,533 m/kg.
Ein genormter unsymmetrierter 1/4"-Kopfhörerstecker ist zwar gut geeignet, und der symmetrierte Eingangsschaltkreis bietet auch gewissen Schutz gegen Störgeräusche, ein symmetriertes Kabel mit symmetriertem 1/4"-TRS-Kopfhörerstecker oder XLR-Stecker bietet jedoch einen wesentlich besseren Schutz gegen Störgeräusche sowie eine herausragende Leistung.

Die besten Ergebnisse werden erzielt, wenn das Mikro etwa 5-7,5 cm vom Mund weg gehalten wird.
Überprüfen Sie danach, ob an den Eingängen des Impulse 1015P ein Signal eingeht. Stecken Sie dazu das Kabel aus den Eingängen des Impulse 1015P in ein anderes Gerät ein, an dem Sie dies feststellen können (etwa einen Verstärker und einen Lautsprecher). Lässt sich noch immer keine Ausgangsleistung feststellen, überprüfen Sie, ob der Lautstärkeregler angemessen heraufgedreht ist (um etwa ein Drittel bis die Hälfte).
Der Impulse 1015P ist mit einem eingebauten EQ ausgestattet, um das natürliche Ansprechen der Lautsprecher im System zu erweitern und auszugleichen. Anhebung der Bässe und EQ der Höhen sind vorhanden, und das System weist ein flaches Ansprechen auf und sollte – wenn überhaupt – nur wenig zusätzlichen EQ erfordern. Wurden die Bässe oder Höhen für den Impulse 1015P von außen zusätzlich zu stark angehoben, kann dies bei hohen Schalldruckpegeln zu einer verfrühten Überlastung führen.
Sie die verkratzte oder abgeriebene Stelle nach und nach leicht mit dem schwarzen Permanent-Marker, und wischen Sie die überschüssige Farbe mit einem fusselfreien Tuch ab. Zur Verstärkung der gesamten Beschichtung und als Schutz können Sie mit Handschuhen entweder WD-40®- oder Armour-All®-Schutzmittel auf die Box auftragen (nur auf die Kunststofffläche). Reiben Sie die Box kräftig mit einem trockenen, fusselfreien Tuch ab, um die Rutschigkeit zu verringern.
Das netzbetriebene Lautsprechersystem mit zwei Verstärkern soll über eine Gruppe von mittelohmigen Eingangssteckern verfügen, bei denen es sich um eine Combo-XLR-Buchse und eine 1/4"-TRS-Kopfhörerklinke sowie einen XLR-Klinkenstecker handelt, die sich auf der Rückseite befinden und parallel geschaltet sind. Daneben soll ein getrennter zuschaltbarer Mikrophoneingang (XLR-Buchse) vorhanden sein. Eine Loop-Outsowie eine Loop-In-Klinke sollen vorhanden sein.

LLEVAR CORRIENTE ELÉCTRICA AL IMPULSE 1015P Los Impulse 1015P vienen con un cable de corriente IEC de 8 pies.
