Digital Inputs and Outputs (I/Os)
The PTCarPhone offers six digital inputs and outputs. Each connection can be used either as an input as well as an
output. Inputs are marked with a green sign , outputs are marked with a red sign .

Options
Digital input:
Panic key (E/A 2 and 6 only)
Sending SMS
Hangup/Answer call
Volume +
Volume -
PTT (only displayed when the Extra “PTT” was activated)
Digital output:
Ring indic.
Phone ON
Active call
Switch
Reset

Activation of the Hands-Free System for the Intercom Function
When the hands-free system is to be used occasionally instead of the handset I when talking over the
intercom, this function needs to be activated in the phone menu. If activated, when the handset is put
into the cradle during an intercom call, the hands-free system will take over.
System > Conguration > device code input > Intercom > Hands-free

NOTE:
To avoid acoustic feedback, enabling this function is only recommended, when the second handset and
the hands-free system are located in separate rooms.
