Activation of Purchase Features
Purchase features add extra functionalities to the phone. In the Extras menu, purchase features are marked as
follows:
Locked purchase feature (using the function key Update will unlock the purchase feature, provided
that it was purchased from pei tel for this particular PTCarPhone.)
The purchase feature is unlocked, but not activated.
The purchase feature is unlocked and activated.
NOTE:
When buying purchase features, the IMEI number of the PTCarPhone needs to be send to pei tel.

Purchase Features
Automatic Redialing
If a call is interrupted, the phone will re-establish the connection automatically. This function is active as long as a
call is not ended using the end key
. When Automatic Redialing is activated, toggling calls is not possible. There
is no Automatic Redialing after a Hidden Emergency Call.
Hidden Emergency Call
If the external panic key is pressed, an emergency call is generated, that won‘t show on the phone‘s display. The
hands-free microphone is activated, the speakers are deactivated and any input on the handset is ignored. The
receiver can listen in to the vehicle‘s interior. The call is either ended by the receiver or by pressing the key for
more than 3 seconds. For using this feature, a digital input (2 or 6) with panic key and phone number needs to be
installed.
