when the brake pedal is depressed and the
vehicle has come to a complete stop.
The engine will automatically restart when
the brake pedal is released.
NOTE: If the parking brake is engaged
while the engine is stopped, the engine
will not restart when the brake pedal is
released.
Depress the brake pedal, disengage the
parking brake and then release the brake
pedal in order to initiate the automatic
restart.
NOTE: The engine may automatically
re-start before the brake pedal is
released in order to maintain electrical,
air conditioning or other vehicle
demand.

to deactivate the system. The light in the
button will illuminate and the status light in
the instrument cluster will be extinguished.
Press the button again to activate the system.
NOTE: If the deactivation button is
pressed when the engine has been
automatically stopped, the engine will
re-start.
NOTE: The system is active by default
when the ignition is switched on, even if
it has been previously deactivated.
