LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THE VEHICLE
The buttons on the key fob operate as
follows:
1. Key Fob Lock:
• Press once to lock the vehicle and
activate the vehicle's security system.
The vehicle's lights will briefly flash to
confirm the security system is active
Passive Lock:
• When exiting the vehicle, pressing the
central lock, unlock switch or the
switch on the exterior door handle
and close the door. All doors should
lock and the parking lights should
flash once, indicating the security
system is active
Cabin Preconditioning:
• Press once, then press and hold the
lock button for two seconds to
activate the remote preconditioning
feature. The lights will flash twice; one
short and one long, to signal
successful activation
2. Key Fob Unlock:
• Press unlock button once to unlock the
driver door. Press a second time to
unlock all doors
• The park lights should flash and the
mirrors may unfold, if configured, to
confirm unlock
Passive Unlock:
• When a programmed key fob is in
your possession, activate an exterior
door handle. Dependent on your
vehicle settings, either a single door,
the entire side of the vehicle, or all
doors will open
• The park lights should flash
3. Panic Alarm:
• Press and hold the panic button to
activate the panic alarm
4. Trunk Release:
• Press and hold the trunk release
button for two seconds to release the
trunk
It is not necessary to point the key fob at
your vehicle, but you must be within
operating range. The operating range will
vary according to the condition of the key
fob battery and other physical factors.
If the vehicle cannot be locked or unlocked
using the buttons on the key fob, you may
need to change the key fob battery.
Note: Interference from other radio
equipment operating on a similar
frequency may also affect the operation of
the key fob. If this happens, operate the key
fob as close to your vehicle as possible. If
you are still unable to unlock your vehicle
with the key fob, use the manual door lock
located on the passenger side front door.

Note: Remote preconditioning, this is timer
based-not temperature.
This feature will operate within 10 minutes
if the vehicle is unplugged or 20 minutes if
the vehicle is plugged into a charger,
The HVAC system will run for the set time
based on a charging or not charging state,
to achieve the desired cabin temperature.
The system will reach owner’s selected
temperature and continue for set time, or
shut off even if the desired temperature is
not reached within this time.
After shut down the RPC feature will not
monitor the vehicle cabin temperature, this
may lead to the vehicle warming up or
cooling down if a sufficient time has passed
since initiated.
