Detailed network information

This information is displayed in the auxiliary panel after double clicking the network on the AP

List. It is grouped into three tabs:

General tab

General information about the network and its security.

SSID – Network SSID or Hidden if the SSID is not broadcast by the access point.

MAC Address – Access point hardware address (MAC).

Authentication Type – Authentication that the access point uses.

Encryption Type – Encryption that the access point uses.

Channel – The channel (frequency) that this wireless network uses.

Network Type – Wireless network type (Infrastructure or Ad-Hoc).

Beacon Interval – The frequency with which the connection keeping packets (beacons) are sent.

Signal Strength – Wireless network signal strength.

Supported Rates (Mbps) – Connection speeds supported by that network.

802.11n Max. Supported Rates (Mbps) – Maximum connection speed that the adapter can reach

with that wireless network using 802.11n protocol.

Close – Close the information window.
