Mode Menu Exposure Mode Memo A1 Caution • When the camera is turned off, or the Auto Power Function is activated, the changed setting will revert to the previously-saved exposure mode. • Refer to [USER] in the [A4] menu for setting A. Lens Correction A2 Reduces distortions and lateral chromatic aberrations occurring due to lens properties. (The default setting is P (Off).) Caution Memo • When [RAW] or [RAW+] is selected as the file format, the correction information is saved as a RAW file parameter. Digital Preview Memo A Rec. Mode Menu • The camera cannot be operated during interval shooting. To cancel the shooting, turn the main switch to [OFF] or turn the mode dial. • Single Frame Shooting is selected regardless of the current drive mode setting. • Although each shot taken is displayed with Instant Review, images cannot be enlarged or deleted. • If the [Auto Power Off] function (p.
Electronic Level Display A3 Sets whether to display the electronic level in the viewfinder (default setting: P (Off)) and/or on the monitor (default setting: O (On)). A4 Sets the color space of image files to sRGB or AdobeRGB. (The default setting is [sRGB].) You can temporarily change the file format of the SD Memory Card being used by simply pressing the | button. Sets the file format and the function of the | button. This camera supports the following languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Greek, Russian, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.

Folder Name R2 You can select a method for assigning the folder names for storing images. Date (default setting) R PENTX The two digits of the [month] and [day] on which the picture was taken are assigned as the folder name in the form of [xxx_MMDD]. • [xxx] is a sequential number from 100 to 999. • [MMDD] (month and day) is displayed according to the date format set in [Date Adjustment] (p.R23) in the [R1] menu. Example: [101_0125] indicates a folder with pictures taken on January 25th.
Available operations Memo S dial • When [Color Space] is set to [sRGB], you can change [IMGP] (4 characters) to the desired characters. When [Color Space] is set to [AdobeRGB], of the 4 characters you selected, the first 3 are assigned in place of [IGP]. Example: When a file name is set to [ABCDxxxx.JPG], the file is renamed to [_ABCxxxx.JPG]. Copyright Information R3 Sets the photographer information embedded in the Exif data. 2 Select [Copyright Information] in the [R3] menu and press the 5 key.
Reset R3 Resets the settings in the A menu, Q menu, R menu, shooting functions and playback mode palette. Caution • Reset function is not available when the mode dial is set to A. Memo R • The A menu settings and [Language/u], [Date Adjustment], the city and DST settings for [World Time], [Text Size], [Video Output] and [Copyright Information] in the R menu are not reset. Set-up Menu Pixel Mapping R4 This maps out and corrects defective pixels in the CCD sensor.
Dust Removal R4 This removes dust adhering to the CCD sensor by applying ultrasonic vibrations to the filter on the front surface of the sensor for approximately one second. Set [Start-up Action] to O (On) to turn the Dust Removal function on every time the camera is turned on. (The default setting is O.) Sensor Cleaning R4 Memo • The self-timer lamp blinks and [Cln] appears on the LCD panel during sensor cleaning. Format R4 You can select the SD Memory Card in the SD1 or SD2 slot and format it.
