Wiring diagram 55 amp alternator 403C-15, 404C-22 and 404C-22T
Charging circuit
Caution: Diode capacity: current 3 amps, reverse voltage 600V this is mandatory.
Notes:
l Maximum cable size for 375 Lucar terminals on the alternator is 65/0,3 mm (4,5 mm²) therefore twin cables
are required at connection to the alternator.
l Maximum current draw for standard oil pressure switch is 0.42 amps (5 Watts maximum bulb).
l A delay fuse can be fitted if necessary.
Alternator charge lamp, 55 amps
Alternator charge lamp rating: 12V - 2,2W at 850 rev/min.
When the engine is stopped the alternator charge lamp is illuminated via the battery. The light is extinguished
when the engine is operated and the alternator is generating.
The use of a lower wattage bulb than the rating above will increase the speed at which the alternator will
operate.
e.g. a charge lamp with a lower wattage bulb will have a rating of 12V - 1,2W at 1300 rev/min.
