Troubleshooting
The following notes will help you rectify any problems. If this still doesn’t help you
rectify problems, send the machine to our customer service department for repairs.
Please consider the warranty notes.
Problem Possible cause Solution
The tank can’t
be inserted.
The tank holder was
inadvertently pushed in.
Take hold of the rear hole on the bottom of
the tank holder and pull it forward.
The fill level
indicator
(11)
blinks even
though the wa-
ter tank is full.
The float capsule (8)
in the water tank is
blocked.
Check whether the float capsule in the wa-
ter tank is able to move without restriction.
If necessary, remove any foreign objects
or decalcify the tank.
The pump
emits loud
noises and/or
does not pump
any water even
though the wa-
ter tank is full.
The suction cap (9) is
missing or has not been
properly positioned in
the holder.
Adjust the position of the suction cap. The
suction cap must be properly mounted
even if the anti-chloride filter is not being
used (see page 10).
There is air under the
suction cap.
Rinse the machine as described on page
25.
Only cold water
emerges after
start-up.
The start-up process
was aborted.
Repeat the start-up. Ensure that the
reservoir is filled with a sufficient amount
of cold water. Do not interrupt the rinsing
cycles.
Warm water was filled
into the appliance.
The water reservoir was not
filled up to the max mark.
The adjusting
knob (17) jams
long before
reaching the
designated
area
.
The coffee pad has not
been properly inserted.
Please refer to the notes on pages 12 and
13.
The coffee isn’t
strong enough.
The coffee pad hasn’t
been inserted properly.
Please refer to the notes on pages 12 and
13.
The preset fill amount is
too high.
Reduce the fill amount using the knob (10) or
use 2 coffee pads.
The powder holder has
not been properly filled.
Fill the powder holder up to the edge and
only press down the coffee powder gently.
The cups on
the left and
right are not
filled to the
same level.
Minor differences in
the fill level cannot be
avoided.
This will improve after the machine has
been used a few times.
The machine is not
level.
Place the machine on a level base.
