The
stretch
triple
zigzag
stitch
produces
a
highly
elastic
and decorative
seam
which
is very
suitable
for
hems
on Tshirts
and
underwear.
• Serge
the edge
of the
hem.
•
Fold
the hem
inwards
to the
desired
width,
• Topstitch
the
hem
from
the
face
side.

Due
to
its high
elasticity,
this stitch
is
used
for
sewing
elastic,
e.g.
on
underwear.
•
Cut off
the
old
elastic
close
to the
edge.
•
Gather
the
fabric
with
a 6
mm
long
straight
stitch,
•
Push
the
part
that
you
have
prepared
in
this
way
under
the
elastic
or
place
it
underneath,
and
pin
it firmly
in
place.
•
Sew
it on
with
the
elastic
stitch.
Leave
the
ends
of
the
elastic
tape
overlapping
a
little
and
sew
over
them
with
elastic
stitches.
•
On
skirts
or
trousers
the
elastic
tape
is
sewn
onto
the
prepared
edge
with
the
elastic
stitch.
