There
are
different ways
to
sew
in
zippers.
For
skirts we
recommend the
zipper
concealed
on
both
sides,
for
ladies’
or mens’
trousers,
the
zipper
concealed
on
one
side. Several
types
of
zippers
are available
at
retail
outlets.
We
recom
mend
metal
zippers
for
strong
fabrics
such
as
jeans.
For
all
other
materials
we
recommend
a
plastic
zipper.
For
all
types
of
zippers
it
is
important
to
sew
right
up
close
to
the
teeth
of
the
zipper.
This
is
why
the
zipper
foot
can be
engaged
on
the
left
or
the
right
side
of
the
sewing-foot
holder.
Additionally,
you
can
set the
needle
so
that
it
enters
close to
the
edge
of
the
zipper
teeth
by
using
one
of
the
Creative’s
19
needle
positions.
If
the
foot
is
engaged
right,
the
needle
must
only
be
moved
to
the
right
If
the
foot
is
engaged
left,
the
needle
must
only
be
moved
to
the
left.
Engage
the
zipper
foot
on
the
right side.
Baste
the
zipper
on
and place
it
under
the
sewing
foot
so
that
the
teeth
run
at
the
side
of
the
foot
Bring
the
needle
into
the
desired,
right-hand
position.
Sew
in
half
of
the
zipper, leave
the
needle
in
the
material,
raise
the
sewing
foot
and
zip
the
zipper
closed.
Now
you
can
sew
the
rest
of
the
seam
to
the
end
of
the
zipper
and
stitch
the
crosswise
seam.
