With

the

eight-way

feed

stitches

or

connecting

stitches

you

can

sew

embroidery

and

utility

stitch

programs

into

different

directions,

By

shifting

the

patterns,

new

shapes

and

large-area

embroidery

motifs

will

be

created.

The

connecting

stitches

are

stored

in

the

sewing

machine

computer

as

crosswise,

lengthwise

and

diagonal

programs.

You

may

have

to

use

several

connecting

stitches

to

visually

separate

patterns

from

each

other,

e.g.

6

diagonal

stitches

for

9-mm

patterns.

Pattern

start

and

end

are

particularly

important

when

combining

a

pattern

with

connecting

88

stitches.

The

connecting

stitches

are

always

sewn

from

the

pattern

end

in

the

direction

chosen,

and

continue

from

the

last

connecting

stitch

to

the

pattern

start

of

the

next

embroidery

program.

You

can

achieve

the

most

beautiful

results

if

the

connecting

stitches

are

overstitched

by

the

course

of

the

pattern.

It

is

much

easier

to

create

a

pattern

combination

with

connecting

stitches

if

you

mark

the

desired

pattern

on

the

fabric

first,

divide

it

into

embroi

dery

patterns

and

connecting

stitches

and

enter

them

into

a

memory.
