Be sure to look in the 100’s, not just in the 80’s or 90’s. Try scanning to a strong station,
then back down two frequencies - for example 103.5 to 103.1. If that frequency is taken,
try scanning to the next strong station and repeat. For more tips and information see
Finding Empty Radio Frequencies [pg. 12], or visit www.dlo.com/openfm to search for
the best frequencies in your area.
My music is playing, but there seems to be a lot of static.
First, check that you have found an empty frequency. Unplug the TransDock to see if
there might be a radio station interfering. If so, try another frequency. Also, you may
need to try a different setting on the Level Adjust. See Getting the Best Sound Quality
with Your DLO TransDock [pg. 17] or for more tips and information see Finding Empty
Radio Frequencies [pg. 12], or visit www.dlo.com/openfm to search for the best
frequencies in your area.
My iPod video is not playing over my car’s video system.
With your iPod connected to the TransDock, make sure that your iPod TV Out setting
under Video Settings is set to either Ask or On.
My music sounds bass-heavy or distorted when played through the TransDock.
It is very important that you set your iPod EQ to Off and adjust your car’s bass and treble
controls to zero to get the best initial performance from TransDock. Then, you can
experiment with adding bass and treble to your desired preference. Then, try changing the
Level Adjust setting on the TransDock. Also, make sure your car stereo’s bass and treble
are set to zero, and your iPod EQ is set to Off. See Getting the Best Sound Quality with
Your DLO TransDock [pg. 17]
My radio will only scan/seek to occupied FM stations.
Many car radios default to scan/seek mode for tuning, so they automatically tune to a
radio station. Most of these radios can be switched to manual tuning (consult your car or
stereo manual on how to do this). You can also “find” your TransDock’s frequency by
scanning to it. Your car stereo’s scan/seek function will most likely find the TransDock.
If I leave the TransDock plugged into my car’s power outlet, will it drain my car battery?
No. The Intelligent Power Control will automatically turn off the TransDock after one
minute of inactivity (when no player or device is attached). When off, the TransDock
does not present a significant drain on a car battery.
Can I use the TransDock with the iPod shuffle or other devices?
Yes, the TransDock will broadcast the audio from another iPod, MP3 players, portable
gaming systems, portable DVD players, laptops or any other audio device. Simply plug
any audio device into the TransDock Aux-In jack on the bottom of the unit using a
standard male-to-male mini plug (available separately).
