Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
The unit does not grind.
Not enough ground coffee
dispensed by end of cycle.
Size of ground coffee granules
is not consistent.
The unit stops grinding.
Cup control dial will not turn.
Grind control ring does not turn.
SOLUTION
Set cup control dial to desired number.
Plug unit in.
Check power outlet / Try another power outlet.
Contact Saeco Customer Service.
Set cup control dial to higher number.
Add coffee beans to bean hopper.
Unplug grinder and clean coffee chute.
Set grind to coarser grind.
Unplug grinder and clean coffee chute.
Adjust grind control ring to correct grind setting.
Set cup control dial to higher number.
Turn clockwise to desired cup setting.
Plug unit in.
Check power / outlet.
Unplug grinder and clean coffee chute.
Contact Saeco Customer Service.
Turn clockwise to desired cup setting.
At maximum setting - cannot turn clockwise any further.
Contact Saeco Customer Service.
Turn counter-clockwise for desired coarser setting.
Turn clockwise for desired finer setting.
Contact Saeco Customer Service.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Cup control dial has not been set.
Unit is unplugged.
No power to outlet.
Motor has overheated.
Cup control dial set incorrectly.
Insufficient amount of whole beans in bean hopper.
Ground coffee chute is clogged.
Grind set too fine.
Ground coffee chute is clogged.
Grind setting is not correct.
Cup control dial set incorrectly.
Cup control dial inadvertently rotated to off
(straight up).
The unit has been unplugged.
No power to outlet.
Ground coffee chute is clogged.
Motor has overheated.
Control dial is at off setting (straight up).
Control dial is at 10.
Control dial is broken.
Set at finest. Cannot turn clockwise any further.
Set at coarsest. Cannot turn counter-clockwise any
further.
Grinder clogged.
