Ifthemainsplugcontainsafuse,thisshould
haveavalueof5A.Ifaplugwithoutafuseis
used,thefuseatthedistributionboardshould
notbegreaterthan5A.
NOTE: Theseveredplugmustbedestroyed
toavoidapossibleshockhazard
shoulditbeinsertedintoa13Asocket

Howtoconnectaplug
Thewiresinthemainsleadarecolouredin
accordancewiththefollowingcode:
BLUE-“NEUTRAL”(“N”)
BROWN-“LIVE”(“L”)
GREEN&YELLOW-“EARTH”(“E”)
1. TheGREEN&YELLOWwiremustbe
connectedtotheterminalintheplug
whichismarkedwiththeletter"E"orby
theEarthsymbolorcolouredGREENor
GREEN&YELLOW.
2. TheBLUEwiremustbeconnectedtothe
terminal which is marked with the letter
"N"orcolouredBLACK.
3. TheBROWNwiremustbeconnected
to the terminal which is marked with the
letter"L"orcolouredRED.
Beforereplacingtheplugcover,makecertain
that the cord grip is clamped over the sheath of
thelead-notsimplyoverthethreewires.
