Firmware upgrade instructions for BM6
1. Download the firmware.
2. Unzip the downloaded file. There are 3 files:
- BM6.bin
- Philips_Izzy_WiFi.bin
- Philips_Izzy_Upgrade.txt
3. Save all these files to the root directory of an empty USB stick.
Note:
- The size of the USB stick should be 8G or less.
- Do not rename the files.
4. Power off the speaker. (When the speaker is off all light indicators are off.)
5. Make sure the speaker is not connected to power supply.
6. Plug the USB stick into the USB socket.
7. Connect the speaker to power supply.
8. Wait for a while (about half a minute). Firmware upgrade would start
automatically. There will be a voice prompt saying “Upgrade starts”.
Note:
DO NOT press any button, or unplug the USB stick, or interfere with the
power supply until the upgrade is completed. Otherwise, the device would
be damaged.
9. The firmware upgrade takes about 1-2 minutes. When it is completed there
will be a voice prompt saying “Upgrade success”.
10. Unplug the USB stick.
To check the firmware versions of the device:
1. When the speaker is at standby mode (ie, the ring-shaped light indicator is
dimmed), press and hold the Bluetooth button.
2. Look at the signal strength LED indications:
- The number of blinks of the LEDs shows the number:
For firmware version 117, the first LED blinks once, and then the second
LED blinks once, and then the third LED blinks for 7 times.
